About Us

Prima Bio was established by John Purse in 2000, following 15 years involvement in R&D supporting the eucalyptus forestry industry.Prima Bio seeks to develop and promote new or improved eucalyptus and eucalyptus products, and draws on the large amount of knowledge that has been generated internationally on the biology and uses of this economically important group of plants.

From 2004, Prima Bio's principal activity has been the development of new ornamental eucalyptus varieties for the UK market. Other work and products are in development. Consultancy services are also offered.
